The much awaited Apple Event 2020 just concluded with the launch of iPhone 12 series, HomePod Mini, and MagSafe accessories. The event saw the launch of Apple 12 mini which is credited as the world’s smallest and lightest 5G phone.
Apple announced the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone Pro Max with A14 Bionic chipset with 5nm tech, 12MP camera sensors, LiDAR scanner on the Pro variants. These new iPhones are the the first to feature 5G connectivity.
The iPhone 12 features 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display. The new display has twice the pixels as the iPhone 11 and reaches 460 pixels per inch. The brightness is enhanced to 1200 nites that will support HDR video like Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR10.
This new display also features Ceramic Shield, a super tough glass that is tougher than any other glass presently available on smartphones.
This new feature will enable better drop performance. The iPhone 12 line-up is 5G-enabled and Apple claims that the new iPhones will supports the most 5G bands to be featured in a single phone, that makes it usable across the world.
The iPhone 12 comes packed with A14 Bionic processor which was announced with the new iPad Air in September. The company also announced that it is bringing MagSafe to the iPhone, an advanced new system to improve wireless charging.

Price of the new iPhone 12 series are as follows:
iPhone 12 Mini from $699 (£699, AU$1,199)
iPhone 12 starting from $799 (£799, AU$1,349)
iPhone 12 Pro from $999 (£999, AU$1,699)
iPhone 12 Pro Max from $1,099 (£1,099, AU$1,849)
The new iPhone 12 will be available for preorder on October 16 and is available in five colorways – Black, White, Green, Yellow, and Red.
